CheckMark™

The simple todo list that lives on your phone and your screen.

CheckMark™ is a todo app that lives in your phone and your screen.  There’s nothing to install and you can make a free account in a minute.  All you need is name, email, password and a join code as it is invite-only at this time.

I made this selfishly for me, but now you can use it too.

The Basics

  • Nothing to install & completely free
  • Easily list your todos and color code them.
  • Tasks you don’t complete automatically appear the next day (just like the olden days)
  • Checking off an item is very satisfying
  • Lives on your phone like an app, and your desktop like a web page
  • Left swipe deletes a task, right swipe sends it to tomorrow.

Advanced Stuff

  • Create tasks that spawn again for daily tasks (like gratitude, working out, etc.)
  • Premade Project lists allow you to open a clipboard for everything from preparedness to maintenance to action items from podcast episodes
  • Long term goals allow you to set a north star and organize tasks under it
  • The Buddy System allows you to connect with a friend and share one or more tasks so they can help you stay motivated “See what I did!”

Fun Stuff!

  • The community page has a leaderboard of streaks, tasks, etc.
  • There’s pretty, original art that changes with seasons and holidays
  • 300+ 10 minute podcast episodes on productivity & psychology are searchable on your dashboard
  • See your task achievements, current streak, most productive day and unlock 15 other expanded achievement badges
  • Earn gold just by getting stuff done and unlock even more features—maintaining a streak, hitting a milestone
  • Refer a friend and earn gold when they hit a streak

I made this for me

One of my side quests has been to find the perfect to-do list. In the olden days, I had a planner that I quite enjoyed. But currently there really wasn’t any way to record and track tasks in a simple way. So all I wanted was a to do list that was on my screen and on my phone. I didn’t want any fancy features and I’ve learned quite a bit about the psychology of getting things done so I knew there were a number of features that really didn’t matter.

I love an interface that’s simple and straightforward. So I dove in and created my own. As I’ve said, I made it selfishly for me. I wanted it to have all the features that were meaningful to me and none of the ones that weren’t.

a library of support

I have published over 300 podcast episodes on getting things done, understanding yourself, and experimental psychology. I’ve been lucky enough to interview people you have heard of and some you have not. All of them have had great wisdom to share. In addition, I have published 10 books, most on experimental psychology, with a recent one being endorsed by a clinical psychologist. Access to these books and episodes are built into the dashboard. It’s not just a to-do list but it is a centralized productivity and learning app. When new podcast episodes and books are released they automatically appear.

So, it’s more than a list—it’s a central library of getting stuff done, understanding yourself, and having less stress & more happiness.

how can i get this?

Until CheckMark™ is released without the need of an invite, you will have to have a friend who can refer you or request an invite. Also invite codes are regularly given out in Alchemy For Life podcast episodes.

Make sure you are subscribed so you don’t miss them!
